What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is one of the hardest programs to describe, because it is not traditional enough to classify in any generic fitness category. CrossFit levels the playing field for athletes of all types of physical endeavors. Strength athletes are humbled by the cardiovascular demands, while endurance athletes are challenged by the strength components. And the average person can not help but be challenged by the diversity and efficiency of the program.

CrossFit combines powerlifting,weightlifting, gymnastics, calisthenics, and cardiovascular training into one cohesive program.

In CrossFit athletes are proficient in all components of fitness, not just the ones they excel in. Getting good at everything is not easy, but definetly worth the hard work.

The workouts are hard and humbling, but the results are astounding.

  2. I have never been the athletic type. I always used my asthma as an excuse to get out of running in gym, I’ve never ran a whole mile in my life, but I’ve walked 60 miles in 3 days. When I go to a gym I feel like an idiot because I just don’t know where to start. If I came in and got a membership, would someone be able to help me start from scratch? I’d really like to get fit and learn to love exercise.
