I said to Jim the other day, “I am sooo tired lately.” He said, “You have been saying that for the past 2 months.” Then it kind of hit me. That is about when I started this whole goal of getting better and stronger in all my lifts. I have defiantly been doing the getting stronger part but man I am really tired all the time.
Saturday I rested. Well if you can call taking my daughter to Bush Gardens for her birthday a rest day.
So Sunday back to work.
1. EMOTM for 10 minutes:
Strict Press x 2 @ 80 lbs (100% my 1 rep max) only got 5 sets then 5 w/ 1 rep @ 80 lbs
Strict Pullups x 3
2. Front Squat: 5 x 3 @ 150 lbs (96% my 1 rep max)
Monday:
1. Bench Press: 3 x 2 @ 110 lbs (97% my 1 rep max) Then 3 x 1 @ 110 lbs
2. Push Press: 5 x 2 @ 125 lbs (92% my 1 rep max)
Had a hard time getting going this morning and had to skip my jerks. Maybe tomorrow.
3. Glute-ham Sit ups: 10, 10, 10 w/ 18 lb Kettlebell
Did these in the afternoon in between a class. Get it in when you can….
Tuesday:
1. Jerks: gotta do them. 2’s: 105, 115, 120, 125, 130, 140, 145, 150 and a single @ 155
2. Tried some cleans off the blocks and wasn’t feeling it.
3. Clean’s singles: 125, 130, 135, 140, started to just loose my motivation. Sometimes this may happen. When it does you have to decide if you should just stop or push through. I decided to just stop. More weight for another day.
After lunch I decided to put together a metcon.
4. For Time: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Thruster (increase reps every set) 85, 95, 105, 115, 125
Bar Muscle up
Wednesday:
1. Back Squats. Goal: 5 x 2 @ 170 lbs. This is 106% my current 1 rep max and the most weight I have ever had on my back. I was pretty intimidated and the first time I stepped out of the rack it felt really heavy! But I did it. And they were not as slow as they felt. My last rep though….I thought I was going to die.
2. Strict Pull ups: Max set 13 (1 rep PR)
I need a good metcon tomorrow. Time to breath heavy.
